SAD NEWS

You may have heard of the sad loss of one of our valued members Hillary Elliott who passed away on the 15th April 2008. The officers and members would like to express their deepest sympathy to Willie and the family circle.

Just a few lines to let you know about forthcoming events.

2008 CH Show

As you may know due to the unfair inclusion in the CC's rotation we will not be hosting a CH show in 2008 but will be holding another event on our usual date.

CLUB BADGES

Club badges to commemorate our Diamond Jubilee are available there are only limited number of badges made, club members will get first preference. These will be a very collectable item so dont miss out cost will be £3-00 each

SUPPORTED SHOWS

As some of you may be aware the entries at our recent supported shows have been on the increase , this is very encouraging to see. These shows are judged by those eligible who are selected from and by the membership. Your entries are important, supporting these shows will ensure some competition as well as making it a worthwhile experience for the judge.

From January 2006 there will be an increase in membership fees due to increasing costs of postage and stationary. The new fees will be £5.00 for joint membership and £3.50 single.

TROPHIES

Some of our trophies are a bit tired and need to be replaced. A few members have kindly offered to donate new ones. These, and any others, will be greatly appreciated. If anyone would like to donate a trophy, either for our points night, or for a show, please let us know.

LOUGHSIDE VENUE

It has often been commented by our visitors from overseas, that we are extremely fortunate to have this venue for our shows. We are now in danger of losing this this venue due to a few exhibitors and spectators insisting on smoking inside the building. Please observe the NO SMOKING rule at all times in order to ensure the availability of this venue.
